Our Privacy Terms

This text demonstrates how epubli handles personal data (such as names, addresses, email and telephone numbers). Personal data provides information about personal or factual circumstances of a specific (natural) person.

The protection of personal data is an important issue at epubli. We are subject to the legal regulations for data protection and data security.

According to these provisions, we are permitted to collect, process and use personal data as far as this is required for the justification, for the arrangement or alteration of the contractual relationship for the use of our services, for the enabling of the usage of our services, as well as for the billing thereof.

Use and Storage of Data

Each time one of our pages is accessed and each time a file is retrieved, data regarding this occurrence is saved in a log file on our servers. However, this data alone, e.g. the user’s IP address, the time, the date and the URL of the accessed page does not allow an identification of the user whatsoever. Therefore, an individual-related use of this data does not take place. It merely serves the statistical collection and evaluation of anonymous data for the optimisation of our services.

epubli saves such personal data when you use the services from epubli and so that epubli can render and bill these services. The use of this data is solely effected in line with the purpose of the contract; the data is only processed and used to the extent for which it is required for the justification, the alteration and the fulfilment of the contractual relationship.

When you register and in line with our services, which are subject to a fee, we for instance ask for last names, first names, dates of birth, addresses, payment methods, etc. It is possible that we also request gender, interests, etc. This information is voluntary and is also marked as such.
